Fastfood: Sugarbun

Today was fun! Catch up with Steph, came back from Perth for holiday! We met at McCafe Sulaiman, I was surprised with the design and cleanliness for this McD. For one sec, I though I was in Maccas in Perth. I will definitely go back to this McD although its 20 mins from home.

However, today is about Sugarbun! Where the hell has Sugarbun been? They serve good fish and raisin rice! This is the only fast food that my parents like. We used to get it quite often! Why? Asians like fish and rice!
Joined my family for lunch today at Metrotown, we walked around and saw Sugarbun kini dibuka! Sugarbun it is!

Fairly new and clean!

Got this fish and rice for RM11.60

The raisin rice is not simple raisin rice, its with chicken as well. The flavor is good, it brought back all the memories we had with Sugarbun. Everyone is happy with their lunch. I miss fish and chips in Perth at the same time! Sweetlips!!! Oh my god! Should plan for a trip back to Perth real soon!

Have a nice Sunday tomorrow!

Blank

I don't know what to say today but I have been telling myself that I have to write this every day!

Alright! Let's talk about my morning walk on thread mill! Its boring! Yea, I know!

What about my manager?! She is one indescribable lady! She is very hard to keep up with so what i always do is to ignore her! Ok, this sounds boring too! I guess everyone has some issues at work so I don't have to talk much about this!

Oh! Guess what?! My lovely aunt is finally back from HK. That means our meals are prepared daily no more eating out, no more takeaway and no more starving but consequence is putting more kg on the scale! There is always no win win situation! BUT I think she will be busy from now on until Chinese New Year! Will see whats happening!

Next public holiday is on 14th January! Its a date to look forward coz its a bloody day off!!! Who doesn't like extra day off?! Office working hours are fixed but boring! Roster working hours are flexible but have to sacrifice to work on public holidays and weekends which are suck! See, what I said before?! There is NO win win situation!!

Anyway, bedtime! Good night mate!

My first ever blood donation!

My 1st blood donation

Date: 22.12.2013
Time: 11.30am
Venue: KK Tzer Ying Buddhist Temple

This was a coincidence. I was telling aunt that I wanted to go for blood donation in Beaufort but we had to go home to look after the house from flooding, so we didn't make it. I told her that I never done this and I would give a try. She quickly replied "there is one tomorrow at temple starts from 9am". I was like "great, lets do this!"

I am not afraid of needles or what so ever, I always look at the needle when it pokes me. It sounds like I m psychopath. No I am not, I am just brave. Yes I am brave! But to be honest, the needle for dripping is way over my limit! Ok, back to blood donation!

I was still deciding whether i should go, i started to ask my good friend, Mr Google, whether I m fit to do this. I tick all the boxes. SO there we go.

The whole process went so fast. Got there, filled up form, blood sugar level test, get my body weight, interview, blood pressure test, some other tests tat i dont know what. I'm lucky enough to have a very experienced nurse. First needle to make my vein swell (as per my SG sister), second needle is for withdrawing my blood into the bag. First needle is like ant stung and i didn't feel anything for second needle even though its way bigger than the first one. It only took 10 min to fill up a 350cc bag. That's it, all done! Of course, you will get some complimentary food and drinks in return of your generosity!

This is certificate, i will call it little red booklet instead to record my generosity!

Blood group A

First and more to come!

In progress!

For the whole process I did not feel pain or dizzy. This is something everyone should do whenever its possible. My advise is drink plenty water before and after blood donation. Its extremely important. Don't be afraid of this. Be brave! You would never imagine how much this means.

Dizzy

Happy New Year 2014!!!

Got up late this morning just because I had to keep my silly little dog calm last night when the fireworks started! It didn't take long, only 1 hr! No big deal really! I know he is tired and wanted to sleep but fireworks and thunders just dont get along with him!

I was very motivated today as its the first day of the year! What a coincidence that today is also the first day of December for Lunar calendar. I decided to go to buddhist temple to pray since last night before I off to bed.

The consequence of getting up late was I didn't get to eat breakfast. I arrived at temple straight into praying and I felt dizzy a while. That dizzy was almost blackout for me, came out from the chanting and put my head on the table with Aunty Jenny sitting next to me. In that 1 min I sweat more than I walk on the thread mill for half an hour, seriously like soaking wet. Aunt Jenny made me Milo! I was alright after a short while. Boys and girls, please do listen to your mum. Breakfast is very important!!!

Finally, get to taste the ice cream I bought from Baskin Robbins on Monday with 31% off. I got a Quart 700gm which cost me RM35.70 after 31% off. I choose Tiramisu and Macadamia nuts n cream. I always play it safe when it comes to flavor. I am not an adventurous person when comes to food.

700gm hand-packed Baskin Robbins ice cream

You get to choose two flavors for this size. Top is tiramisu, bottom is macadamia.

Personally, I like macadamia nuts n cream. Its very generous with the macadamia nuts and not too sweet. We all know that macadamia nuts are not cheap but the ice cream is very nutty. Tiramisu tastes like how tiramisu should be and its kinda sweet for me. Overall, it wasn't a bad deal with 31% off. I cant stop singing this  "Baskin Robbins 31" if you know how the tone goes u definitely know what I m talking about!

Good night guys! back to work tomorrow! Fighting!!!

Come to the last day of the year! I realized that I have only done 2 posts last year! BRAVO! so proud of myself!

When it comes the end of the year, we always ask ourselves "so, what have i done this year?", "what is my new year resolution?". "what can I do to make myself a better human being? (cant believe i am saying this)". We are so inspired and motivated for the new year to come BUT it never last long (at least for me).

Lets do a quick review of my year 2013!

  1. Back to study persuade my CPA program! Sat exam for 2 units and PASSED them both!
  2. Got promoted to Associate 2 and got increment! HURRAY! more money to spend!
  3. Made it to Japan, Hong Kong, Italy and Taiwan!!!

4. Cooper is 5 years old now!!

5. My first ever company trip to Kuching!

6. How can I forget about my first blood donation which just happened on the 22nd Dec!

Of course there is many more things to remember, such as catching up with someone that I haven't talked to for ages, it feels great! Catching up with everything in KK and I do miss Perth at the same time. I still trying to cope things in KK, its no longer by myself, many things have to take account into when making a very simple decision!

Well, thank you for everyone that help me throughout the year I am survived for another year! Thank you for all the people being bitchy and making my life tough coz I m stronger now!! My new year resolution is being positive and spread this positive attitude to everyone! I dont have to be the best person on the world but I will do my best not to bring trouble to anyone! Random act of kindness and be kind to one another are the way to be! Wish you all have a good year ahead of you! Dream big! ~ Love Lisa

Cooper's migration to Sabah

Cooper was born in Perth, Australia but due to some special reason which is me. He migrated from Australia to Perth. I remember the moment I dropped him to the agent, he looked at me like I was going to abandon him and started to bark when I walked away. Pisces is emotional, hence, of course I cried.

From Perth to KK via KL cost me arms and legs but its worth it for this little one as I m a so called responsible pet owner. The whole trip worried me the most was the transit time in KL for 6hrs. I read some articles about a French bulldog died due to the reluctant care of the airport staff. However, thank you Buddha for blessing Cooper for the safe trip. Amitabha!

This is the cargo pick up area where my brother and sister picked Cooper up.

According to my sis, he was kinda blur after the long day travelling.

"Hey, we got your dog. He is still alive!" My tears dropped when I got this phone call from my sis.
Tears of joy, tears of relief!

Love you cutie pie!!!
